SUMMARY *** NOTE: If you are reporting a crash, please try to attach a backtrace with debug symbols. See https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open System Settings 2. Go to the keyboard section 3. go to the Advanced tab OBSERVED RESULT There are two sections named "Caps Lock Behaviour" EXPECTED RESULT These sections should be merged. If there is a reason why they are separated, then they should have different names, IMO. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: Manjaro Linux, kernel 5.9.16-1 64 bits (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.24.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.92.0 Qt Version: 5.15.3 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I only see one in mine on Fedora 35. Can you attach a screenshot that shows the issue? I wonder if there is a Manjaro-specific packaging change that added an addition section via added or overridden XKB rules or something.
Created attachment 148256 [details] Showing the duplicate "Caps Lock Behaviour" Interesting.. I see the same issue as the "OP" on this F36 box. See attached. Operating System: Fedora Linux 36 KDE Plasma Version: 5.24.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.93.0 Qt Version: 5.15.3 Kernel Version: 5.17.3-302.fc36.x86_64 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 Graphics Processor: NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030/PCIe/SSE2
Strange indeed. We are just consuming data that comes from elsewhere though, so I strongly suspect that this is a packaging problem. Still, maybe we should de-duplicate or merge the sections. Do they have different items in them, or are they identical?

Thanks. I strongly suspect that the duplicate item comes from a second XKB config somewhere but I don't understand enough about the system to know where it is. I guess we should handle this by merging any category names that are identical.
