Description Edo Friedman 2022-04-15 07:29:30 UTC
SUMMARY
If you start a window management effect like Overview or Present Windows and then start the Desktop Grid effect using touchpad gestures, the two effects interfere with one another.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Log in to Plasma Wayland session (AFAIK touchpad gestures aren't available on X)
2. Start a window management effect (other than Desktop Grid)
3. Use touchpad gestures to start the Desktop Grid effect

OBSERVED RESULT
The two effects interfere with each other (what they do depends on the effect)

EXPECTED RESULT
The gesture is ignored and the Desktop Grid effect doesn't start

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Fedora 35
KDE Plasma Version: 5.24.4 (from the zawertun/kde copr repo)
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.93
Qt Version: 5.15.2

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I selected the effects-desktop-grid component but I think it should be fixed outside the effect (if possible), so it doesn't happen with other effects in the future.
