I don't know where this bug belongs but I've posted it here because the fix is to restart plasmashell. Seemingly randomly ~once per week the device notifier stops notifying me if I stick a memory stick into a USB port. There is nothing wrong with the stick, it doesn't associate with a particular stick or USB port or anything. The stick can be mounted without error using mount. Whatever the problem is killing and restarting plasmashell fixes the problem. Once this is done, pop the stick in and the notifier works just as it should. Apologies this is a bit vague, I can't find any other information, no errors, logs or messages it just stops working. The system sees the stick just fine.
plasmashell 5.22.5
> plasmashell 5.22.5 There have been a lot of changes to the Device Notifier's backend code since 5.22.5 and I strongly suspect it's fixed now. Can you upgrade to 5.24 and check?
Thanks, let's park until I can check with a newer version!
