SUMMARY
when adding a remote calendar then this adds a local calendar 


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. go to https://community.kde.org/Schedules/KDE_Gear_22.04_Schedule
2. click on "phabricator's calendar events_release.ics"
3. 

OBSERVED RESULT

firefox invites you to record "event.ics" somewhere in your home

EXPECTED RESULT

korganizer is launched and invite you to add a remote calendar "https://phabricator.kde.org/calendar/export/ics/en57n5ovb3k6vg4mtqbx/events_release.ics"

If I understand correctly, this is a matter of the firefox setting to automatically open rather than download.

and then in your KDE settings making sure to associate text/calendar files with the KOrganizer application.
File Associations -> text/calendar and then have KOrganizer first in Application precedence order.

I'm closing this one because I don't think its a korganizer problem.

reopen if I misunderstood the issue.
