SUMMARY

The version 6 that I use by default with ubuntu is work
the picture is in /12T/dropbox

/dev/sdf1        11T  578G  9.8T    6% /12T

and ln -s to /home/xx/Dropbox

but the 7.6.0 not show Dropbox in home and not show 12T in /
 the drwxr-xr-x   6 xx   root 4.0K 3月   3 21:41 12T

Did you use flatpak package to install digiKam ?

If you are using the Ubuntu digiKam package, it is a snap package. Snap packages use a sandox and are useless to use digiKam. Flatpak is also not suitable without the appropriate configuration of the rights. We do not support either type of package. Use our AppImage under Ubuntu. It's a shame Ubuntu isn't able to build native digiKam packages.

the 6.4.0 is install in Discover
(than I want install 7.6.0 by ppa:savoury1/digikam,but dependency fault and I remove all)
the 7.6.0 installed by snap

well , I'll try appimage, I doanload it before but considering that he can't automatically upgrade
