Description Lex 2022-04-09 10:58:13 UTC
If creating an ext4 partition on a disk >16T, a maximum of 16T will be assigned to the partition.
On the same disk, GParted just assigns all space to a single partition.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Mount disk of 18T or more.
2. Create GFT Partition table.
3. Create ext4 partition, trying to use all available space

OBSERVED RESULT
The maximum size is 16T.
300 GB of unallocated space is left before the partition (even if creating a smaller partition).
Other unallocated space is left after the partition.

EXPECTED RESULT
A 18T ext4 partition is created.
