When opening systemsettings for kmix shortcuts, I'm presented with an array of the same shortcut names, which makes it rather useless. which one shall I change ?

Might be a KMix problem; perhaps it registers its shortcuts many times or something. Do you see the problem with the shortcuts for any other app or system component?
Comment 2 Martin Koller 2022-04-11 19:59:24 UTC
I see it only with kmix
Comment 3 Nate Graham 2022-04-11 20:03:12 UTC
Ok, moving to KMix then.

Current shortcuts configuration

The problem was that KMix provides configurable shortcuts for each individual control of all the sound cards, in addition to the global volume control of the master device, but they were not given unique names to distinguish them. This has now been fixed by https://invent.kde.org/multimedia/kmix/-/commit/ba21e69951f0dc9e286499424e4a815a4f69890e and the shortcuts settings appear as in the screen shot.
