Motion tracking filter is not shown in the list by default. That's the problem. It is appear only if you type its name.

I can confirm the issue. "Alpha, Mask and Keying" without search word Kdenlive list 5 effects. Putting into search letter "o" or "s" Kdenlive show 16-20 effects. Depending on the language!
I think this has been resolved, pleas test with the latest version. Previously we only showed a selection of effects, if you wanted to see all how had to either select the audio or video icon. However this behaviour has been changed a few release ago. Feel free to reopen the report if you still face this issue.
