Description Brandon Bachman 2022-04-02 02:41:15 UTC
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Install Fedora KDE or Manjaro KDE
2. Install KDE connect client on Android device
3. Pair and _attempt_ to use the ketboard input features of KDE Connect

OBSERVED RESULT
I am unable to put in any kind of keyboard input uusing KDE Connect on latest available KDE. This wasn'r a problem last year, and isn't a problem on desktops which _aren't_ KDE.

EXPECTED RESULT
Being able to use the keyboard input features of KDE Connect for compose send and raw input.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I don't understand why this is a problem with most recent KDE. On older KDE desktop installs this isn't a problem, but this is happening on both Fedora and Manjaro, so it's not an OS-specific problem from what i am seeing.

Apologies for lax information, I am an absolute novice when it comes to filing bug reports here. What I will see is if it has something to do with using BTRFS as a system installation method by using Ext4 as system root. I would have zero clue how partition format has something to do with this but this has been happening specifically with using BTRFS as root as of recent.

No, this is not being posted on April 1st as a prank.

Wayland strikes again! Turns out, Wayland and remote input are still a problem with no obvious solution.

Disregard.
