SUMMARY When embedding a media9 movie, it can only be played in presentation mode, not in normal mode, no matter if you single-click or double-click. If you double-click, a pop-up appears. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Download PDF from https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=434962 2. Play video in presentation mode by clicking 3. Exit presentation mode and try to play it OBSERVED RESULT You cannot play video in normal mode. EXPECTED RESULT You can also play video in normal mode, after clicking on "ShowForms". In the same way that you can play animated PDFs created with Latex both in NormalMode (after ShowForms is clicked). SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Ubuntu 18
The video plays just fine for me. Are you in Tools->browse mode?
(In reply to Albert Astals Cid from comment #1) > The video plays just fine for me. > > Are you in Tools->browse mode? Good point. I was in Tools, Selection mode... It works for me now that I switch to browse mode as suggested. Is there a way to warn the user via a popup to change mode, if he is single-clicking on a video / form with a non-proper tool? (Just for the sake of novice-user-friendliness.)
I guess it could be possible, I don't see myself particularly working on that, but patches welcome i guess :)
