SUMMARY *** After enabling "While asleep, hibernate after a period of inactivity" from Energy Saving settings, running "suspend" from Krunner only suspends. Suspending through the following work as intended: - laptop lid closed - power button pressed - automatically - `systemctl suspend-then-hibernate` *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Go the System Settings > Power Management > Energy Saving 2. Check "While asleep, hibernate after a period of inactivity" option. 3. Open krunner 4. Type suspend and select the appropriate result OBSERVED RESULT Suspending as expected but does not hibernate after delay (ie. screen does not wake up and hibernate). EXPECTED RESULT Laptop should wake up after delay and hibernate after delay. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: 5.16.16-arch1-1 (64-bit) (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.24.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.92.0 Qt Version: 5.15.3
Is this only an issue with KRunner or with the logout of the kicker/kickoff launchers too?
