The notifications popups do not work on first plasma login, but the sound (if any) is played. As a workaround, restarting the plasmashell process seems to do the trick. The issue is consistently reproducible, but I'm unable to find any settings that would result in such behavior. STEPS TO REPRODUCE: Login in Plasma on first boot and run a command such as: `notify-send foo` from a shell. OBSERVED RESULT No notification popups appear, and the notification history is empty. EXPECTED RESULT Notifications should work fine without needing to restart plasma. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux: 5.16.16-arch1-1 KDE Plasma Version: 5.24.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.92.0 Qt Version: 5.15.3
Are you using Wayland or X11? Are you using any display scaling?
It happens with both Wayland and X11. And no display scaling (Global scale at 100%).
Thanks for the info.
Sorry we weren't able to investigate this yet. Can you see if it's still happening in Plasma 6.1.4 or later? Thanks a lot!
