Backtrace never works for me so this time I saved to report; Updates still install but it crashes almost everytime.

I'm afraid this version is no longer supported. The issue has most likely already been fixed in a newer version, as the version you're using is over two years old. I would encourage you to upgrade to the latest LTS version (Plasma 5.24) as soon as Kubuntu offers it.
