SUMMARY I noticed KWin glitching out when my wallpaper slideshow wasn't working properly after I woke it up from sleep. Another thing I notice is that, sometimes, my applications are not appearing to scroll, and looks like its rubberbanding (which I noticed with Thunderbird and Rhythmbox) STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Put PC to sleep 2. Wake it up 3. Login OBSERVED RESULT The wallpaper would appear to be stuck. Right clicking on the desktop would show that it changed, but only a certain portion would show it. As for some apps, like Rhytmbox & Thunderbird (I remember those 2 since I use them frequently), it looked like it was rubberbanding. EXPECTED RESULT Waking up from sleep shouldn't glitch out the window manager. Just happened again. This time, on 22.04. Operating System: Kubuntu 22.04 KDE Plasma Version: 5.24.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.93.0 Qt Version: 5.15.3 Kernel Version: 5.17.5-76051705-generic (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 Processors: 24 × AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-Core Processor Memory: 62.7 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT Created bug report on Launchpad https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kubuntu-meta/+bug/1973075
Graphical effects are very driver dependent, can you confirm if this is still an issue on newer Plasma.
