SUMMARY openSUSE supports distribution upgrades (e.g.: 15.3 -> 16.0) using a zypper command ( zypper --releasever=15.3 dup ). However, it's not possible to do the same using Discover. It would be great to have Discover performing the system upgrade like it does in Neon and Kubuntu where the user gets a notification, clicks to accept the upgrade and the system takes care of the rest without the user ever needing to enter the CLI. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Wait for a new release 2. Wait for a notification about the new release availability 3. Try to upgrade from Discover OBSERVED RESULT there is no notification of new releases neither is it possible to upgrade to new releases using Discover EXPECTED RESULT Users should get notified of new releases and Discover should perform the upgrade without the user having to change repos manually or having to open CLI SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: openSUSE Leap 15.3 (Argon) KDE Plasma Version: 5.24.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.92.0 Qt Version: 5.15.3 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Other details about System Upgrade can be found over at: https://hackweek.opensuse.org/projects/easy-opensuse-upgrade It would also be great to have Discover being able to perform the system upgrades on openSUSE Tumbleweed
