SUMMARY *** NOTE: If you are reporting a crash, please try to attach a backtrace with debug symbols. See https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Use Krita (version 4.6.2 and version 5.0.2 have both replicated the issue). 2. I am using Xencelabs Medium Pen tablet, but an external USB mouse will also replicate the issue. 3. Use Krita for a period of at least 15 - 20 minutes. 4. Use the right click function at least once, typically on a pen and not the mouse. 5. After the right click option is used, you cannot use it again, and then 5-10 minutes after this the mouse is locked only to the canvas. 6. Shortcut keys still work, so I am able to save my work, but you cannot access the tool options, the color selector, or the brush selector. 7. You cannot move your mouse outside of Krita (i.e. to task manager or any other program or browser). 8. To work around the issue, I have to reboot my PC. OBSERVED RESULT Mouse tracking will cease moving to the menus outside the canvas in Krita. EXPECTED RESULT SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: Windows 10 Pro, 10.0.19044 macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION No additional updates available for Krita, no additional updates available for Windows. Please advise of any testing you need done. Not a critical issue, but definitely annoying. Hi, RSmarines66! The bug looks as if it is a problem of the tablet driver. Can you do the following: 1) Go to Krita's preferences and switch the "Tablet API" to "WinInk" 2) Restart Krita You might also need to activate WinInk API in the tablet driver GUI
Created attachment 147822 [details] attachment-15271-0.html Thanks! I will try this when I get home. Thanks for your comment! Automatically switching the status of this bug to REPORTED so that the KDE team knows that the bug is ready to get confirmed. In the future you may also do this yourself when providing needed information.
Should still be in needsinfo state.
Created attachment 148003 [details] attachment-13011-0.html Issue resolved by uninstalling and reinstalling tablet driver. Sorry for the inconvenience.
