Description pgpattison 2022-03-12 07:44:37 UTC
SUMMARY
Running Elisa 21.12.2 on updated, current stable Majaro release. When music indexing is set to "Use fast native indexer" in configuration dialogue, no music files are found. When set to "Scan the filesystem directly," music library populates as expected. Elisa configuration dialogue prompts to "Please report this as a bug," so that's what I'm doing.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
Described in summary.

OBSERVED RESULT
Elisa's music library is empty when indexing is set to "fast native indexer."

EXPECTED RESULT
Files should show up in Elisa's library when "fast native indexer" is selected.

Operating System: Manjaro Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 5.24.2
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.91.0
Qt Version: 5.15.2
Kernel Version: 5.15.25-1-MANJARO (64-bit)
Comment 1 pgpattison 2022-03-12 08:06:28 UTC
Solved. Missing content was located in ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/music and "Index hidden files and folders" was disabled in Plasma's system settings.

Explicitly added the path mentioned above to Plasma's index settings under File Search, switched Elisa back to "Use fast native indexer," and all expected song files show up in Elisa's music library.
