ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Comment 1 pearlitylive 2022-03-10 22:43:58 UTC
As an additional comment, I wanted to explain everything that is happening better, so you could understand better hopefully. Around two weeks ago I was drawing, nothing special. My screen froze for twenty to thirty seconds, I thought it were just too many details and the program is lagging, so I waited to fix itself. Then, it shut itself down. I've tried to open it again, give it a restart, install an older version, look into its files and so on, hoping it will make it work, which it didn't. I also want to mention that the things I did were down in this two weeks, not all at a time. I've looked on the krita artists site, just to check if somebody else had the same problem as me, and for the people who did and the staff team has answered to them, in my case, nothing has worked.
I wanted to mention that I work on a Legion, windows 10, Krita 5.0.2. I also wanted to say that I've downloaded and added to the app some more brushes that I needed.
This is like a longer thing, as I wanted to mention all things I did, on what I'm working and the fact I added some more brushes. I really hope you will can help me, if not, I still am grateful that you took from your time to read my report.
Also, as I was reading the instructions from https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports I've seen the note [ Note
This whole page is irrelevant if you're using Windows or MacOS or Android or appimages on Linux. ], so I stopped reading, as I mentioned before I have an Windows.

Please first try to reset Krita's settings:

Hello, I tried doing what the site said but it just didn't work at all. I
tried to hold the ctrl, shift and alt all at once for the resetting krita's
settings, but it didn't work. I tried renaming the file, still didn't work.
I can show you a video of how my app is ''starting'' if this will be
helping.

Then please manually, using the file manager, remove the kritarc file. If your system froze, you might also need to run a memory checker: there might be something wrong with the hardware.

Note that this is a bug tracker, where people should report issues that are reproducible and then fixable in Krita's code. Your issue is not like that: there's something weird on your system and you need user support, not support from krita developers.

User support is easier to find on the user forums, like krita-artists.org.

Oh I see! Thank you do much for taking from your time to help me with my
problem. It's really appreciated!
I apologize for bothering, as I didn't know if the problem is from my
device or from the program, as I said, I still appreciate it a lot the fact
you helped me and took from your time [ when you could have helped others
who had actual problems ].
