After the last bugfix release March 2022 on KDE Plasma 5.24.3 I cannot shutdown the computer. ctrl+alt+del does not work, shutdown via application overview (starter) does not respond. If I go back to the state before the update via Timeshift, everything works. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. ctrl+alt+del / shutdown via starter 2. no reaction 3. OBSERVED RESULT - no reaction EXPECTED RESULT - menu with "shutdown" - "logout" - "restart" SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: KDE-Neon 5.24 (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.24.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.91.0 Qt Version: 5.15.3 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Kernel 5.13.0-35-generic (64-bit)
Error on systemd: "Failed to start Xdg Desktop Portal For KDE." And I can't open files in firefox, flatpak apps or turn off like Daniel Bruckner. Looks like XDG-Portal-KDE is broken.
Don't work buttons Lock, Shutdown and could be more. Sleep work well. Do you have i386 libraries installed? I have the libwayland updates blocked because 32 bits libraries. And Neon doesn't support 32 bits libraries.... :(
Created attachment 147396 [details] i386 libraries 1.png This are the installed i386 libraries as I founded in Munot by searching with the keyword "i386". I don't use Wayland. Using X11-Plasma Thanks a lot! Problem solved: In Muon I saw that 3 packages were not updated. The message appears in the toolbar at the bottom. However, the packages names were not displayed. After I typed "sudo apt full-upgrade" in the terminal, these packages were displayed: - libwayland-client0 - libwayland-cursor0 - libwayland-egl1 After that I manually upgraded the packages in Muon. -> Everything work again
I had similar issues recently on Arch Linux but I cannot reproduce this issue right now.
