Created attachment 147303 [details] Screenshot of the empty window "Desktop Folder Settings" SUMMARY Can't change wallpaper or any other settings of the desktop because the window "Desktop Folder Settings" is empty. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Right click on Desktop 2. Click "Configure Desktop and Wallpaper..." in the context menu 3. Observe the window that appeared OBSERVED RESULT Window "Desktop Folder Settings" is empty. Only the window decorations (title, border, shadows) are rendered. The middle bit, which should contain the panels, buttons, dropdowns, etc is just empty. The wallpaper image can be seen through the empty space. EXPECTED RESULT Window "Desktop Folder Settings" is empty and can be used to change settings of the desktop. Graphics related, either something in KWin or your graphics drivers. Not sure with; moving to KWin and hopefully the developers there can determine which one it is. Does it work if you resize the window a bit?

What happens if you restart Plasma with `kstart5 -- plasmashell --replace` in a terminal window and then open the window in question? Hopefully some output will be printed to the terminal window. Can you paste it here?
Sorry, I can't provide any more info about the bug – the PC where it happened had already been restarted a couple of times and the bug hadn't been reproduced since.
Sounds like it was due to a bad package update or something.
