SUMMARY *** NOTE: If you are reporting a crash, please try to attach a backtrace with debug symbols. See https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open any window like Dolphin or Firefox 2. Full Screen it. 3. Move cursor to top right corner OBSERVED RESULT The 'Close Window' button isn't highlighted, its basically just title bar EXPECTED RESULT The 'Close Window' button should be highlight lighted and the window close if you click it SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.24.2 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.91.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 Kernel Version: 5.16.11-arch1-1 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 Processors: 24 × AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-Core Processor Memory: 31.3 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER/PCIe/SSE2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION So, noticed that if I have a window that the close button in the top right no longer activates essentially with the entire area of the window title bar, now it is just the little circle around the X, even in full screen mode. I vaguely remember a previous bug about this where it was determined that essentially the entire right corner should be able to active 'close', at least in full screen windows?
Can you go to System Settings > Appearance > Window Decorations > [Click on the pencil icon for the theme you're using, if it's Breeze] > and see if "Allow resizing maximized windows from window edges" is checked? If it is, uncheck it. Also let me know if you're not using Breeze.
Hey, checked it and it was already unchecked, If its helps I am on a 1440p monitor with a scale factor of 125%. Running X11 as, well, Nvidia and all that. On my intel laptop (4k, 2x scale factor) things are fun under Wayland, as-is my other desktop using an AMD card (also 1440p and Wayland). So maybe just a fractional scaling issue on X11?
I actually just noticed something. Native KDE apps are fine, but it is happening on Firefox.
Aha, that makes this the same as Bug 414777. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 414777 ***
