It would be great to be able to adjust the timeout (currently 30s) value in the Settings. I found a guide online to edit the Qml file "/usr/share/plasma/look-and-feel/org.kde.breeze.desktop/contents/logout/Logout.qml" but that didn't work for me.
How come? What's the use case or problem that it would solve?

If a user (maybe a corporate user) clicks to reboot their PC but forgets to click the OK button there's 30 seconds for another user to walk up, click cancel and use their session. A shorter timeout would increase security in that scenario.
Maybe that person should just not show the logout screen at all; there's already configuration for that. System Settings > Startup & Shutdown > Desktop Session > uncheck "Confirm Logout". That essentially sets the timeout to 0. :) Does that suffice?
