Description Nate Graham 2022-02-25 20:38:35 UTC
When Peruse is used on the desktop where there is plenty of space, its left drawer is frustrating to use. It functions as a navigation sidebar, but is only visible when specifically invoked using the hamburger button. Using hamburger buttons for navigation is a recommended-against UI convention; see for example https://www.nngroup.com/articles/hamburger-menus/

Auto-hiding leads to usability issues such as not knowing how to go back or return to the main navigation. For example when I open the Settings page, there is no clear way to leave it once I'm done.

For at least the desktop view, consider making the drawer into a constantly-visible sidebar, like Discover has done.
