SUMMARY
When I'm reviewing academic work, I love to use Okular to annotate PDFs with my suggestions for the author. I frequently use the Highlighter tool and pop-up notes, which allow the user to include a comment in a box.

However, to see these comments, the user has to either:
- Position the mouse over the comment and wait a little until it shows as a tooltip
- Double-click the comment so the comment box will open
- Right-click the comment in the sidebar and choose "Open pop-up note"

The sidebar in this case does not use its full potential, because it only shows the type of annotation, but it would be great if it showed an excerpt of the comment itself. It would be super useful to take a quick look at all comments without having to click anywhere, as well as when searching existing comments.

See the attached image for more details.

I second this feature request. This is a major use case for me. There are also other requests for improvements here dating back to 2012. Ideally, all notes and highlighted text can be displayed maximised and clicking through the open list of annotations will take you to the place in the pdf.

Hi, Please why is this being marked as resolved while it remains rather unresolved?

Please check the full status: it's marked as RESOLVED DUPLICATE because it was already reported. Please follow the existing bug (197726) for updates.
