Hey. I don't know if this is in the right spot, so please ignore all the metadata associated with this ticket. I'll make a new one once I know how to.

My issue is with the "Desktop Settings" window I get when I right click on the plasma desktop and click on "Configure Desktop".

When I set the "Wallpaper Type" to Slideshow and add a folder, the images from that folder don't show up in the right pane. Instead it says "There are now wallpapers in this slideshow.". When I try the same thing on another (newly-created) user, it works fine.

For now, I'd just like this help:

1. What "Component" would this be?
2. Where would any error messages that might come up in the process of the "Desktop Settings" dialog trying to scan a folder for images and make thumbnails of them go to? Is there a log somewhere where I can see them?
3. How can I open this "Desktop Settings" from a command line so I can see what errors it might be spitting out?

I'm a developer, and capable of troubleshooting, but I need to be able to pull open the hood to see what's going on. Can you help me open the hood? Once I get a decent idea of what's going on I'll submit a better bug report for it (or just fix it if it's specific to my user/machine).
