STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open kwrite
2. Go to View > Auto Reload Document
3. Click the box
4. Close kwrite and reopen
5. View > Auto Reload Document is not checked


OBSERVED RESULT
The setting is not saved after reopen

The setting should be saved after reopen

That is a document local setting.
And it is by design not persistent.
