Please give concrete examples, e.g. search texts (artist and album) for the Discogs import or an URL of the album on Discogs.

for example I take album  https://www.discogs.com/release/698283-Mad-Mike-The-Deacon-Attack-Of-The-Sonic-Samurai-Fuji
if you import from discogs, then the artists are not individually, but through /

performers should each have their own track, but it turns out that two tracks with performers are Mad Mike / The Deacon

it would still be awesome to get track numbering not only by numbers, but also optionally in the form of sides. by type A1, B1.  I will probably create a new ticket for this.

If you import your example album using the JSON API (not the HTML parser) - you need a Discogs API Token for this, see the instructions in the handbook - the two artists are correctly imported. So I consider this issue as solved.
