SHORT : backup without raid drives.

I can't find any photo library manager that allow to make backup of photographs on different drives. It results that it become quickly really messy to work with backed up photos, original working drive, and different libraries. Not to say Lightroom is a real pain is the ass about data management, lost a lot of work because of their "catalogue mess"...
I'm looking for a kind of master/slave folder/drive solution for those how don't rely on RAID drives.
