Description Andres Betts 2022-02-16 01:18:30 UTC
It appears even though Plasma is set to skip the confirmation screen for shutdown, restart or log out, Discover does not follow suit when the user selects "Restart automatically after installing packages". When I was doing the updates, I selected this option and the system showed the confirmation screen anyway. However, the rest of the system is set to skip the confirmation screen.
Comment 1 Andres Betts 2022-02-16 14:15:59 UTC
CORRECTION: It is "not" automatic updates that don't follow the confirmation screen bypass, it is the actual "restart" button that appears after completing the updates inside Discover.

Can confirm.

I've just tried it (on KDE Neon) and cannot reproduce the problem.

Can you maybe run Discover on a terminal and see if you get any errors?

I just ran this again in the latest stable version of plasma and the behavior is still there. Checking the restart automatically button skips the confirmation screen and restarts the laptop without warning.

That's the opposite of what you originally reported, though, and matches what you said you wanted to happen. :)
