SUMMARY
When i right click on a person tag and for example to edit the "properties" (Alt-Return), digikam freezes and is not responding anymore.
Some tags still work, some not.
The same thing is happening in the tag manager. When i choose this specific tag (click on it), digikam freezes immediately.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Tag Management
2. Click on a tag
3. digiKam freezes

Hi,
i have attached a DebugView Log. It was recorded during clicking on Properties of a tag. After that digikam crashes.
I also tried installing a version with debug symbols. However this one is not starting on my system.
Hope the .Log helps anyway.

Can you share the full trace with debugview especially at digiKam startup stage ?

do you have something to see in crash log :

digikam.general: DrMinGw crash-file will be located at:  "C:\\Users\\joach\\AppData\\Local\\digikam_crash.log"

I also searched for it before, but this file is not written. It doesn't exist.

digiKam 8.0.0 is out. Problem still reproducible ?

This problem still reproducible with the new digiKam 8.2.0 pre-release Windows
installer available at usual place:

https://files.kde.org/digikam/

This new bundle is based on last Qt framework 5.15.11 and KDE framework 5.110.

This crash is not reproducible with digiKam compiled under Windows with
VCPKG. digiKam 8.2.0 pre-release installer is here :
