Screenshot of running (restored) app, running (minimized) app and pinned app

SUMMARY
There is no way to distinguish between a minimized running app and a pinned app in the icons-only task manager.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Pin an app to the task manager.
2. Open and minimize some other app.

OBSERVED RESULT
The visual state of the pinned and minimized app icons is identical.

EXPECTED RESULT
There should be some indication that the minimized app is running.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: 5.16.8
KDE Plasma Version: 5.24.0
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.91.0
Qt Version: 5.15.2

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Regression in 5.24.0.

Does it happen if you clear your Plasma SVG cache with `rm ~/.cache/*plasma*` and restart plasmashell with `plasmashell --replace`?

Does is still happen in Plasma 5.24.1 which was released today? It contained a fix for something similar to this.
Comment 2 David Warner 2022-02-16 08:41:28 UTC
Unfortunately neither Plasma 2.24.1 nor clearing the SVG cache seem to fix it. I'm using Breeze Dark, but the same behaviour is present in Breeze Light and Oxygen.

OK, thanks. Can't reproduce, no idea how to proceed.
Comment 4 David Warner 2022-02-22 05:25:06 UTC
I also can't repro in fresh VMs of KDE Neon and Fedora 35 (I use the latter), so happy to close this.
