I got the crash dialog, but hitting the 'restart program' did nothing, and it remained my windows on a blank/black ground. Had to switch to a new vt and hard reboot. Attached systemd log and coredump.
Actually, can't attach the core dump as its too big (along with a plasma shell one from around the same time, both are pretty big).
Created attachment 146748 [details] second segfault trying to renable after restart so, just noticed after restart that desktop effects actually didn't re-enable. Trying to re-enable them in SystemSettings results in this segfault. Core dump for this is also slightly bigger than file attachment limit.
Can you get crash backtrace please? `coredumpctl list kwin_wayland`, find relevant entry in the list and put its pid in `coredumpctl gdb <pid>`, then type "bt" in gdb
