Mypaint has a tool tool(bottom right corner)  "Pick brushstroke settings, stroke color and layer"

I click on it and then on a brush stroke on the canvas and it picks the brush , settings, color and layer used; to be used again.

As an suggestion for krita.

Mypaint can do this because they store a stroke map. Krita doesn't so this is unlikely to happen anytime soon.
