The crash happened when the progress box was present for some minutes but before or when it should start showing a percentage. The archive has not been created at all. Sorry for beeing so unspecific, but If you feel this case should be tracked down, please feel free to ask me questions the answers to which might help you in finding the issue. I have called the same job again one time with the same result. The crash can be reproduced every time. -- Backtrace: Application: Ark (ark), signal: Segmentation fault [KCrash Handler] #4 0x00007f36aac83d60 in Kerfuffle::Archive::Entry::isDir() const () from /usr/lib64/libkerfuffle.so.20 #5 0x00007f36601e4464 in ArchiveSortFilterModel::lessThan(QModelIndex const&, QModelIndex const&) const () from /usr/lib64/qt5/plugins/arkpart.so #6 0x00007f36a78d89dc in QSortFilterProxyModelPrivate::proxy_intervals_for_source_items_to_add (this=this@entry=0x562088b9ae10, proxy_to_source=..., source_items=..., source_parent=..., orient=orient@entry=Qt::Vertical) at itemmodels/qsortfilterproxymodel.cpp:821 #7 0x00007f36a78dacaf in QSortFilterProxyModelPrivate::insert_source_items (this=this@entry=0x562088b9ae10, source_to_proxy=..., proxy_to_source=..., source_items=..., source_parent=..., orient=orient@entry=Qt::Vertical, emit_signal=true) at itemmodels/qsortfilterproxymodel.cpp:879 #8 0x00007f36a78dcdcc in QSortFilterProxyModelPrivate::source_items_inserted (this=this@entry=0x562088b9ae10, source_parent=..., start=start@entry=1, end=end@entry=1, orient=orient@entry=Qt::Vertical) at itemmodels/qsortfilterproxymodel.cpp:1013 #9 0x00007f36a78df05d in QSortFilterProxyModelPrivate::_q_sourceRowsInserted (this=0x562088b9ae10, source_parent=..., start=1, end=1) at itemmodels/qsortfilterproxymodel.cpp:1644 #10 0x00007f36a78e0c61 in QSortFilterProxyModel::qt_static_metacall (_o=<optimized out>, _c=<optimized out>, _id=<optimized out>, _a=<optimized out>) at .moc/moc_qsortfilterproxymodel.cpp:231 #11 0x00007f36a7939eb5 in QMetaObject::activate (sender=sender@entry=0x562088c7ed30, signalOffset=<optimized out>, local_signal_index=local_signal_index@entry=10, argv=argv@entry=0x7ffc9c8168b0) at kernel/qobject.cpp:3804 #12 0x00007f36a793a5c7 in QMetaObject::activate (sender=sender@entry=0x562088c7ed30, m=m@entry=0x7f36a7db7520 <QAbstractItemModel::staticMetaObject>, local_signal_index=local_signal_index@entry=10, argv=argv@entry=0x7ffc9c8168b0) at kernel/qobject.cpp:3657 #13 0x00007f36a78b172e in QAbstractItemModel::rowsInserted (this=this@entry=0x562088c7ed30, _t1=..., _t2=<optimized out>, _t3=<optimized out>, _t4=...) at .moc/moc_qabstractitemmodel.cpp:591 #14 0x00007f36a78b907b in QAbstractItemModel::endInsertRows (this=0x562088c7ed30) at itemmodels/qabstractitemmodel.cpp:2752 #15 0x00007f36601d99a2 in ArchiveModel::insertEntry(Kerfuffle::Archive::Entry*, ArchiveModel::InsertBehaviour) () from /usr/lib64/qt5/plugins/arkpart.so #16 0x00007f36601dc61b in ArchiveModel::newEntry(Kerfuffle::Archive::Entry*, ArchiveModel::InsertBehaviour) () from /usr/lib64/qt5/plugins/arkpart.so #17 0x00007f36a7939fcf in QtPrivate::QSlotObjectBase::call (a=0x7ffc9c816b90, r=0x562088c7ed30, this=0x56208d3b9020) at ../../include/QtCore/../../src/corelib/kernel/qobjectdefs_impl.h:394 #18 QMetaObject::activate (sender=0x56208de21660, signalOffset=<optimized out>, local_signal_index=<optimized out>, argv=<optimized out>) at kernel/qobject.cpp:3784 #19 0x00007f36aac3b552 in Kerfuffle::Job::newEntry(Kerfuffle::Archive::Entry*) () from /usr/lib64/libkerfuffle.so.20 #20 0x00007f36aac50594 in Kerfuffle::Job::onEntry(Kerfuffle::Archive::Entry*) () from /usr/lib64/libkerfuffle.so.20 #21 0x00007f36a793aa62 in QObject::event (this=0x56208de21660, e=<optimized out>) at kernel/qobject.cpp:1261 #22 0x00007f36a878ff9c in QApplicationPrivate::notify_helper (this=this@entry=0x5620888367d0, receiver=receiver@entry=0x56208de21660, e=e@entry=0x7f36200021a0) at kernel/qapplication.cpp:3701 #23 0x00007f36a87975b0 in QApplication::notify (this=0x7ffc9c8172b0, receiver=0x56208de21660, e=0x7f36200021a0) at kernel/qapplication.cpp:3447 #24 0x00007f36a790a3a8 in QCoreApplication::notifyInternal2 (receiver=0x56208de21660, event=0x7f36200021a0) at kernel/qcoreapplication.cpp:1088 #25 0x00007f36a790a57e in QCoreApplication::sendEvent (receiver=<optimized out>, event=event@entry=0x7f36200021a0) at kernel/qcoreapplication.cpp:1476 #26 0x00007f36a790cf67 in QCoreApplicationPrivate::sendPostedEvents (receiver=receiver@entry=0x0, event_type=event_type@entry=0, data=0x562088835db0) at kernel/qcoreapplication.cpp:1825 #27 0x00007f36a790d508 in QCoreApplication::sendPostedEvents (receiver=receiver@entry=0x0, event_type=event_type@entry=0) at kernel/qcoreapplication.cpp:1679 #28 0x00007f36a7967e13 in postEventSourceDispatch (s=0x562088903fc0) at kernel/qeventdispatcher_glib.cpp:276 #29 0x00007f36a1139694 in g_main_context_dispatch () from /usr/lib64/libglib-2.0.so.0 #30 0x00007f36a1139a30 in ??
