STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Update to version 10.8-1 available on https://store.kde.org/p/1169519/

OBSERVED RESULT
System characters for closing, minimizing, and going full screen along with plugged in icon

EXPECTED RESULT
The icons/characters appear as normal

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: 
KDE Plasma Version: 5.24.0
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.90.0
Qt Version: 5.15.2

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I have tried reinstalling latte-dock and latte-dock-git, both have the problem. The problem appears even after reinstalling but only after updating.

Applet window buttons is not updated for plasma 5.24, not related to Latte
