This can be a problem in mobile layouts where the screen is narrow, especially with languages like German where the text tends to be quite long. See Bug 449992 for an example.

Hi Nate, the commit from bug 449992 did not fix the issue for me. On Elisa 22.8.1 the text is still overflowing as can be seen in the attached screenshot.
You're using the Material style where we don't have any control over the wrapping and elision behavior. So the issue you're seeing there is now a Qt issue. In fact this is now fixed in the qqc2-desktop style. See attached screenshot.
