SUMMARY After upgrading to 5.24.0 the Maliit Keyboard no longer appears as an on-screen keyboard when the Virtual Keyboard is activated and set to be Maliit. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Upgrade to 5.24.0 2. Activate Virtual Keyboard (maliit-keyboard v2.2.0-1) 3. On-Screen Keyboard no longer appears when clicking within text input areas. OBSERVED RESULT After upgrading to 5.24.0 (in both Arch and Garuda), when the Virtual Keyboard is activated (with a notification that the on-screen keyboard has been activated), the maliit-keyboard no longer appears when clicking within the text input areas of any application including all KDE applications. EXPECTED RESULT When the Virtual Keyboard is activated, the maliit-keyboard should appear when clicking within the text input areas of KDE applications. Prior to the upgrade the expected behavior occurred in both Arch and Garuda. Can confirm on KDE Neon. Even in tablet mode, the OSK never appears.
Can confirm, something must have broken this quite recently, as it used to work.
