Created attachment 146546 [details] KDE neon 5.24 flashing screen with colour noise When I start KDE neon 5.24 from a USB stick on my laptop I see this visual bug. The screen flashes with random colour noise and the laptop is unusable. The video can also be viewed in full size on YouTube: https://youtu.be/9WzpOu4hEwA
Created attachment 146547 [details] KDE neon 5.24 flashing screen with colour noise after self check In the video you first see the last part of the drive check. It says that there are no errors. The cogwheel spins, the cogwheel stops. And then the screen starts flashing with random colour noise and the laptop is unusable. The video is also on YouTube in full resolution: https://youtu.be/E3koZWi824g
Since the bug only seemed to occur when I booted into a live system and it didn't do so any more, I thought this bug may could be closed. My laptop (on which I saw the bug the first time) now runs KDE neon. I saw the exact same bug when I turned off my machine. So it did not hinder me from doing anything, but it still seems to exist somehow. System info: Operating System: KDE neon 5.24 KDE Plasma Version: 5.24.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.92.0 Qt Version: 5.15.3 Kernel Version: 5.13.0-39-generic (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 Processors: 16 × AMD Ryzen 7 4800H with Radeon Graphics Memory: 30.8 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: AMD RENOIR
I have tested this issue today and it does no longer seem to exist
