SUMMARY

First noticed in Plasma 5.23.5, but still present in 5.24.0.
Virtual Activity Pager Widget has disappeared completely from the panel it is placed on, but reappears in edit mode.
Removing the widget and adding it again from the Widget menu produces the same results.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Right-click any panel -> Enter Edit Mode -> Add Widgets... -> Drag an Activity Pager into the panel
2. Notice how other widgets shift to make space for the Pager widget like normal, release drag and the Pager disappears (as if it was not added)
3. Exit edit mode, re-enter edit mode, Pager that was added is now showing in the panel in edit mode
4. If you close edit mode again, Pager is no longer shown

OBSERVED RESULT

Pager disappears when not in edit mode on a panel. Removing and readding the pager widget does not fix it.

EXPECTED RESULT

Pager should show up in the panel when placed there so it can actually be used.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20220207
KDE Plasma Version: 5.24.0

That's the Virtual Desktop Pager, not the Activity Pager, And yeah, it automatically hides itself when you only have one virtual desktop, because in that case, there's nothing it can be used for, really. And it looks like yo only have one Virtual Desktop, so everything is as designed. It will appear automatically if you set up a second Virtual Desktop.

Thanks for the insight, I didn’t even think to check that. I had 4 virtual desktops set up but it appears that in between updates they somehow got deleted. I’m so used to my 4 virtual desktops I just assumed there was a problem because I definitely didn’t remove them myself lol. Added them back and things are working as they should now. Thank you!
