Description Dan Sunter 2022-02-10 14:47:17 UTC
SUMMARY
When charging laptop unplugging the cable before waking the laptop causes Kinfocenter to report plugged in but not charging until full reboot.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Plug in laptop to charge
2. Close lid or sleep laptop
3. Unplug before opening or waking laptop

OBSERVED RESULT
Kinfocenter reports laptop is plugged in but not charging.

EXPECTED RESULT
Kinfocenter recognizes the laptop is not plugged in or charging.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows:
macOS:
Linux/KDE Plasma: Linux (x86_64) release 5.15.19-1-MANJARO
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.23.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.90.0
Qt Version: 5.15.2

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Minor annoyance would even be happy to see plugging the laptop back in and unplugging it clear the error (I almost think it was doing that a few updates ago but not 100%). Laptop in use is a Thinkpad T480s. Charging with either the Thunderbolt docking port or the USB-C charging port results in the same outcome.
