SUMMARY
Line caps are sometimes rendered as rounded when they aren't.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
I saved an Inkscape drawing (with butt caps) as a PDF (attached here) and opened it with okular.

OBSERVED RESULT
rounded caps

EXPECTED RESULT
butt caps

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
FreeBSD: 12.2-STABLE
KDE Plasma Version: none
KDE Frameworks Version: 5?
Qt Version: 5

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Evince renders the caps correctly.

This appear to be a bug in poppler, the library used by Okular to render pdf files.  I can reproduce the problem with pdftoppm 20.09.0.
