SUMMARY *** The SHIFT key invokes Line Tool, even though it is not set as a keyboard shortcut. Because of this, I am unable to multi-select points in a Polygon, which is extremly hampering. If I activate CAPSLOCK, I can use SHIFT normally but only once. Now I have to constantly toggle CAPSLOCK on and off during my workflow. *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. On a Vecor layer, draw a polygon 2. Click the 1st point 3. SHIFT + click the 2nd point OBSERVED RESULT Editor switches to Line Tool. EXPECTED RESULT 2 selected points. Did you switch from the default shortcut scheme to another?
(In reply to Halla Rempt from comment #1) > Did you switch from the default shortcut scheme to another? Yes, I used Photoshop compatible scheme. Your remark triggered me to test with Default and Krita_Default schemes as well, and I restarted Krita in-between tries. It did not make a difference. I also tried Restore Defaults.
What probably is going on is that you selected the Photoshop canvas input scheme, which sets line to shift, because that's what happens in Photoshop, so that's correct. Then you might have changed another canvas input setting, which means that you now have a "local" scheme that overrides selecting a default scheme. Until we figure out what to do about that... Please reset your settings: remove the input profiles in ~/Library/Application Support/Krita/input
I now have keyboard shortcuts set to Photoshop Compatible and the Canvas Input scheme set to Krita. This works for my workflow. I didn't even remember setting the Canvas Input scheme, I was too focused on the keyboard shortcuts. Do you think we can close this ticket or do we still have an issue to solve regardless?
Ah, no, we still need to fix krita getting confused from customized input themes.
This should be fixed with the latest changes to the code that finds resources.
