SUMMARY
What the title means:
Animation starts (Looks good)
Plasma is loaded, a black screen appears for a second (looks bad)
Animation ending (looks good)
Basically it flickers when switching between the animation loop and the animation ending

Reproducible with both stock and custom splash screens

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Log in

OBSERVED RESULT
Animation isn't seamless

EXPECTED RESULT
Animation is seamless

Yeah, sorry, should have tested a bit more myself 😅.
I can't reproduce this on Wayland as well, seems like an X11 issue...
