SUMMARY Task manager rendering broken under wayland (nvidia driver) STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Run plasma with wayland (nvidia driver may or may not be necessary) 2. Start a few apps 3. Start hovering the mouse over their taskbar icon. If it doesn't work on the first one, try another one OBSERVED RESULT The window preview either completely fails to appear or shows a blank window, additionally the rest of the taskbar rendering may break resulting in weird colored stripes EXPECTED RESULT The window preview appears and taskbar does not break. Created attachment 146914 [details] Sample of the volume dialog I can confirm having the exact same issue in plasma 24.1. Some additional observations: It is not limited to the panels, tooltips such as volume control and notification are also affected. Panels generally seem to correct themselves after a while, but break again while in edit mode. The pattern may change when the content of the dialog changes, such as when using volume up / down.
I'm also confirming this bug. But it's not a new bug, this has been an issue for a while now. Would be nice to see it get fixed.
I can also confirm this bug. Since the Nvidia driver update to v470 and newer where Wayland session began to work in my computer with a GTX970, this issue has been present. Panel and popups rendering seems broken although the session is still usable.
