Description Mazin07 2022-01-30 04:38:52 UTC
SUMMARY

Transform effect, when applied to a clip that has a transform effect with rotation, crops the image incorrectly.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create a 1080x1920 (portrait) image file (e.g. by rotating a animation frame 90deg CCW)
2. Add clip to project bin.
3. Select clip and add a transform effect that "corrects" the rotation: Rotation=90d, Size=177.78%
4. Drag clip onto timeline.
5. Select the clip in the timeline.
6. Apply another transform effect to the clip; leave the settings at default

OBSERVED RESULT

Second transform crops image as if it's portrait.

EXPECTED RESULT

No change to image after applying second transform (because second transform does not change zoom or rotation).

See attachment for before/after, with after (bottom) showing wrong crop.

kdenlive 21.12.1 on Ubuntu 20.04

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Problem occurs with both still image and video. Found because I needed to rotate a clip that iPhone thought was portrait, and then wanted to add additional zoom later.
