SUMMARY
If I log out from an X11 session (125% scale) and log in to a Wayland session (125% scale), the screen scale is always 100% even if system settings shows 125%. Not sure if it's a bug in Kwin or elsewhere.


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Log out from X11
2. Log in to Wayland

OBSERVED RESULT
100% scale

EXPECTED RESULT
125% scale as shown in system settings

Not likely. The external display has the same name on Wayland and X11, but the bug still exists.

Does it have the same *connector* name too?

If you mean HDMI-A-0, yes. KScreen KCM reports the scale is 125% but the actual scale is 100%.
