Running Autoremove after update deletes components critical to booting encrypted system, resulting in error message (paraphrased) "could not find vgkubuntu" and dropping to initramfs shell.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1.  Install Kubuntu using option for full encryption
2. Perform an update, run sudo apt autoremove
3. Reboot

OBSERVED RESULT
Unable to boot. 

EXPECTED RESULT
Boots to password input page

I should mention that this is using the daily build ISO from:

https://cdimage.ubuntu.com/kubuntu/daily-live/current/

The other related bugs all used the Ubuntu installer, so I'm positive it's that. Critical packages are not being marked appropriately, and subject top auto-removal.

I'm sorry that this happened.

However it doesn't have anything to do with Discover, since you use your distro's own package management facilities, not any KDE software. You would need to report this to the Ubuntu folks.

Ah, gotcha. Not a big deal, I just had to restore the first 3 partitions
and it was back to normal. I can't say someone trying the distro for the
first time wouldn't be p*ssed, tho. I will try to report tonight, Ubuntu
bug reporting is a pain compared to KDE. Thanks, Nate! -Tim
