SUMMARY *** NOTE: If you are reporting a crash, please try to attach a backtrace with debug symbols. See https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** Clicking "close" button (and "keep above" button) on certain windows shows visual feedback that it is being clicked, but takes two clicks to close. Keep above button also takes two clicks. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open a System Settings window. 2. Click the "close" or "keep above" 3. Profit. No, I'm kidding, there's no money in this. OBSERVED RESULT Button blinks to show that it is being clicked, but does not close/keep above until clicked a second time. EXPECTED RESULT Window should close or stay above others. Minimize seems to work as expected. Haven't tested other functions. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: Kubuntu 22.04 (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.23.9 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.90 Qt Version: 5.15.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
1. Are you using the default Breeze window decoration theme, or a 3rd-party one? 2. Regardless of what the answer is, does the same thing happen if you switch to the other type? 3. X11 or Wayland?
Created attachment 145976 [details] attachment-21486-0.html Hey, Nate! It's actually a 3rd party window decoration, Nordic Round to be specific. I just checked with Breeze and can't replicate the issue at all, so apologies if I jumped the gun on the bug report. I'm using X11, also. Is it helpful to report bugs at this time? I'm using Kubuntu Jammy and it's been so great I just put it on my main computer. Don't worry, I have a really good backup system if it craps out. Only very minor bugs I've noticed so far, things like the option for plain solid color background is not there, and Global Themes won't install, but I understand it's still not even beta. As far as I'm concerned, it's pretty dang solid as is. Cool, so now we know it's either a bug with that particular window decoration theme, or with all 3rd-party window decoration themes. Does the issue reproduce with other 3rd-party window decoration themes, or just that one? Reporting bugs is always useful, and always appreciated. :)
Created attachment 146004 [details] attachment-24914-0.html I tried out multiple alternative window decorations. The issue is present on every single one.
