STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Choose Wayland
2. RUN Application

OBSERVED RESULT
- Application running, but doesn't show in panel latte-dock

EXPECTED RESULT
- Show running application in latte-dock

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma:  Arch Linux
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.23.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.90.0
Qt Version: 5.15.2

dont you have the same issue with plasma panels and plasma taskmanagers?

I don't use plasma panel.
I can see it in taskmanagers

Add a default plasma panel and you will see that is not appearing also for plasma taskmanagers. Latte is using plasma infrastructure to show tasks.

yes, it doesn't show in plasma panel.

The bug this was marked as a duplicate of was just fixed in Plasma 5.24.1, which was released today. Can you upgrade and see if it's fixed for you too?

Not fixed for me on Plasma 5.24.1 on arch linux. But it happens for all applications and not only AppImages, so it might be unrelated

Reopening as this is the closest I found to my problem. 
Just for more information: Running plasmashell via kioclient exec /etc/xdg/autostart/org.kde.plasmashell.desktop (where the X-KDE-Wayland line is included) does not help either, no windows are showing up

The AppImage doesn't use the correct name for its desktop file, which should be fixed in the AppImage.
