Description rgreen 2022-01-22 17:18:08 UTC
SUMMARY
***
It appears that the size and position of a document are not permanently linked to it when it closes. Consider the following:

1. You open a document A, and set it to size X and position Y.
2. If you close the document and then immediately reopen it, the size and position, as expected, are restored to those it had on closing.
3. Suppose now, after opening document A, you open another one, document B, and set this to size X1 and position Y1. When document A is reopened it will default to the settings, X1 and Y1, which were imposed by document B.

This needs to be amended so that all documents have their last user size and position remembered, regardless of what happens to other documents in the meantime.

***

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open a pdf document. Set it, say, to occupy half of the screen on the left (on Linux Mint this is conveniently done using the Winkey + left arrow).
2. Keeping this document open, open another document and maximise the latter, say, or do something else to make the size and position different from the first document.
3. Now close and reopen the first document.

OBSERVED RESULT
The first document opens with the settings imposed by the second document.

EXPECTED RESULT
The first document should open with the same size and position settings that it had on closing.
